Yard House Irvine Spectrum is the perfect location to meet, eat, and drink

The Yard House Irvine Spectrum has been a very popular place for me to meet up with friends. It is centrally located with easy access being right off of the 5 freeway. The menu is diverse so everyone can find something to eat from the Happy Hour specials to entrees. The bar menu is also quite extensive so the choices are endless.

If you read my last article, I focused on a few of the Happy Hour specials. In this article, I will cover more Happy Hour specials along with entrees off of the regular menu. Let’s take a look:

Traditional Buffalo Wings ($6 on Happy Hour menu) are tossed in buffalo sauce, served with celery sticks and ranch dressing. The chicken is fried perfectly with crispy skin. The buffalo sauce has a good spicy flavor and strong vinegar aroma. Rating: 5/5

Onion Ring Tower ($5 on Happy Hour menu) are beer battered onion rings dusted with parmesan and served with chipotle and ranch dipping sauces. The batter is average, but presentation is great. Rating: 3/5

Pastrami Sliders (look for it as a special) are topped with Swiss cheese and served with fries. The pastrami is thinly sliced and packed with flavor. The pastrami matches perfectly with melted Swiss cheese. The slider rolls are soft and fluffy. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. Rating: 5/5

Deviled Eggs are topped with spicy tomato sauce, sweet chili sauce and chive batons. While the eggs are good but the tomato sauce doesn't really match. It would work better with the sweet chili sauce and thinly sliced Maui or Vidalia onion. Another option would be to go with a more savory path by topping it with shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits. Rating: 2/5

Vodka Shrimp Pasta is chopped shrimp tossed with angel hair pasta, vodka tomato cream sauce, and parmesan. The angel hair is cooked al dente. The shrimp is also cooked to perfection with a snap to it. The vodka tomato cream sauce is a perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and acidity. The sauce matches perfectly with the shrimp. It’s a rich dish so you’ll have leftovers to take home. Rating: 5/5

Gather your friends and meet up at the Yard House Irvine Spectrum. Afterwards, do some shopping or catch a movie.
