Tom and
Carol Bouquet were ready to retire from their family-run company, Annie B’s. At
the same time, Justin and Amanda Henke, fun-loving food enthusiasts, spent
months in their kitchen determined to make the perfect caramel. Justin happened
upon Annie B’s and Amanda concurred that these were the perfect buttery
caramels. On the day Amanda gave birth to their first child, August, they also
decided to welcome another member to their family. In January 2013, Justin and Amanda
were the proud owners of Annie B’s. Maintaining its family-owned culture and
small-batch cooking tradition, keeps fans from across the country coming back

Sea Salt Caramels are buttery caramel and flecked with hints of sea
salt. They are all-natural and gluten free.
- Tasting notes: Sweet, buttery, creamy caramel aromas experienced. Sweet and salty balance, creamy caramel, and vanilla flavors experienced on the palate. Does not stick to your teeth yet has a soft, chewy texture. This would be great on a caramel apple or snacking on with a good cup of coffee.
- Additions or adjustments: Better distribution of sea salt as it is currently causing pieces to be too salty in some bites. Salt adds grainy texture; using a flaked salt might be better.
