Even Downtown Las Vegas has
some fine dining restaurants to choose from. The Flame Steakhouse is one of
them. Situated near the gateway of the Fremont Street Experience, the El Cortez
Hotel & Casino starts to sparkle at dusk. It’s an adults only restaurant so
having a nice, quiet dinner is expected. The décor is a typical Las Vegas steakhouse –
cozy booths, white linen, and prompt service.
Let’s talk meat! The Colorado Lamb Chops are four
bones topped with demi glace and accompanied by mint jelly. All entrees are
served ala carte. The presentation wasn’t too impressive, but the lamb was
cooked to a perfect rare. The demi glace was rich and flavorful. The mint jelly
added a perfect sweetness to the meat and balanced all of the elements. Thumbs
up, way up!
