Melissa’s CLEAN SNAX™ offer a healthy snacking option

Melissa’s has a new snack product called CLEAN SNAX. They come in four tasty flavors: Almond, Pumpkin Seed, Coconut, and Cranberry. Each convenient, re-sealable container has approximately 30 bite-sized squares that also contain nutrient-packed chia and flaxseed laced with honey and light salt. The mixes are gluten free, low in fat and sodium, and contain no artificial ingredients.

Almond Clean Snax

• Tasting Notes: Almond, sweet honey, and nutty aromas experienced; Nutty, almond, sweet honey, and salty flavors experienced. It was not too sweet, not sticky, or bitter with a good balance of flavors. It could be less crunchy and more aggressive with almond flavor. This would be great as a midday snack, on a hike, blended inside a smoothie. Rating: 4.5/5

Pumpkin Seed Clean Snax

• Tasting Notes: Pepita and nutty aroma experienced; Pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, honey, nutty, and slight bitter flavors experienced. It has a crunchy yet textural mouth feel with clean and bright flavors. It is not too sweet and reminiscent of a Japanese snack. It has a good combination of sweet and bitter flavors. This would be great as a midday snack, on a hike, blended in a smoothie, crumbled inside cookies or on top ice cream. Rating: 4.5/5

Coconut Clean Snax

• Tasting Notes: Coconut and nutty aromas experienced; Coconut, sesame, honey, and oat flavors experienced. It has a crunchy texture with a good ratio of nuts, seeds, and coconut. Cranberry Clean Snax

• Tasting Notes: Peanut, nutty, earthy, honey, and slight fruity aromas experienced; Peanut, sweet and sour cranberry, sweet honey, and nutty flavors experienced. It has a crunch texture and not too sweet. It has a good nut to cranberry ratio. This would be great on a hike or just snacking. Rating: 3.5/5
