Folgers Coffee started back
in 1850 in San Francisco, CA and become a household name for generations. In
2008, The Folgers Coffee Company merged with The J.M. Smucker Company, which brands
include Smucker’s®, Dunkin’ Donuts®, Jif®, Crisco®, Pillsbury®, Eagle Brand®, R.W.
Knudsen Family®, and Hungry Jack® to name a few. The Folgers family history is
detailed on their website (http://www.folgerscoffee.com/about-us/folgers-history.aspx)
with the story of James A. Folger from Nantucket.
Folgers Fresh Breaks http://www.folgerscoffee.com/coffees/single-serve-coffee)
come in small, convenient single
serve packets for the coffee lover on the go. The Black Silk is very strong, bold, and will definitely put hair on
your chest. If you need a caffeine punch, this is the coffee for you.
Unfortunately, it was too strong for me. The Breakfast Blend had a pleasing
aroma. The flavor was mild with a little bite at the end. After adding a couple
of Splenda packets and some low fat milk, it was perfect, with an almost
caramel-chocolate taste to it.
