Jersey Mike’s Grand Opening of the 50th store in Los Angeles Area

Jersey Mike’s Subs opened its 50th store in the Los Angeles area in Hollywood yesterday near the famous corner of Sunset and Vine. They are hosting a 5-day fundraiser to benefit Hollywood High School, starting today, Wednesday, April 20th through Sunday, April 24th. Anyone who donates a minimum of $1 to the school will get a free regular sized sub during this fundraising period. The money raised will benefit Hollywood High School’s performing arts program. This is also the 50th organization they have partnered with to do fundraising efforts. In the LA area alone, from high schools to community outreach programs, they have collectively raised over $75,000 for these groups. Support your community and what can be better to be rewarded with an awesome Jersey Mike’s Sub.

Guests were given the red carpet treatment with a champagne reception, a mini-concert from Hollywood High School on the patio, and samples of Jersey Mike’s signature subs. Former TV producer and agent Lloyd Weintraub is the proud owner of the new store and was on-hand for the celebration along with Peter Cancro, Founder and CEO, and Dan Burrell, Area Director. The sandwich crew made quite a show of their sandwich making which made the guests “OOO” and “AHH” not to mention get the taste buds going. They threw around the oil and vinegar bottles like Tom Cruise did in the movie “Cocktail”, must be the Hollywood bug. Some of the artists from Hollywood High School came to perform on the patio to show off their music talents. This is why performing arts should be a mainstay in our high schools to promote creativity and give them avenues to explore for their future.
