What started as a cooking demonstration with Julia Child back in 1979, Food Fare has become one of the most recognized culinary fundraisers in Los Angeles. The event features over 150 of LA’s best restaurants, caterers, wineries, breweries, libation purveyors, and retail merchants. A Wine Silent Auction, a Raffle for Choice, a Dream Experiences Auction, and a VIP reception will also be included in the festivities. The proceeds from Food Fare benefit Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA). Last year’s event raised over $850,000 in support of PPLA.

PPLA provides care to over 150,000 women, men, and teens each year at their 20 health centers throughout Los Angeles. Over 93% of the work they do is preventive, including life-saving cancer screenings, birth control, STD testing and treatment, breast health services, and health information and counseling. Their education and community outreach programs reach 50,000 women, men, and teens in Los Angeles County each year.

  1. I photographed a fundraising conference here recently. What a wonderful place for photos. I almost always hate being anywhere at 6am, but this breakfast event proved an exception. The manger and his staff from NYC venues were extremely professional.
